Phase N/A

Parkinson's disease (PD) often affects movement and daily life, even in younger people. This study looks at a special online therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT helps people accept their feelings and commit to their values, improving quality of life. The program called "Empower Your Mind to Embrace Your Life" is designed for young-onset PD and uses video calls for group sessions.

  • Participants will join eight weekly online sessions.
  • The study involves three check-ins: before, after, and 3 months following the intervention.
  • Participants can continue their regular PD treatments and all information will remain confidential.

To join, participants need to be diagnosed with young-onset PD, aged 21-65, and fluent in Portuguese. They should not be in other therapy, pregnant, or have severe mental health issues. This study aims to see if the therapy helps improve mental and physical health for those with young-onset PD.
