Parkinson's disease (PD) is a brain disorder that gets worse over time, causing symptoms like slow movement, stiff muscles, shaking, and trouble with balance. It mostly affects older adults. Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) causes uncomfortable feelings in the legs, usually when sitting or lying down, and makes people feel like they have to move their legs. These feelings can get better with movement. Studies show that RLS can be more common in people with PD.
Researchers want to find out how common RLS is in Thai people with PD and learn more about its characteristics. This study hopes to improve the detection and management of RLS in Thai PD patients. To be part of this study, participants must be between 18 to 80 years old, have PD, and meet certain medical criteria.
- Participants must visit the study site for evaluations.
- They will be assessed for symptoms of RLS and other health factors.
- There is no mention of compensation or specific risks involved.
