Parkinson's disease (PD) is a brain disorder that affects movement, often causing walking difficulties. This study examines if a special treatment, called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), which uses a mild electrical current to stimulate the brain, can help improve walking in people with PD. Participants will try this non-invasive method themselves at home to see if it helps with walking tasks that require both thinking and moving.
Those eligible for this study must have been diagnosed with PD and be in specific stages of the disease. Participants should not have any history of seizures, metal implants, or other health conditions that might interfere with the study.
- The study requires participants to self-administer tDCS at home.
- Participants should not have any metal implants or a history of seizures.
- The study aims to see if tDCS can improve both thinking and movement in PD patients.
