This study looks at how well a medicine called opicapone works and how safe it is for people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) in Italy. Parkinson's Disease is a brain disorder that affects movement. Opicapone is a medication used to help control movement issues in PD when other treatments start to wear off. This study is observational, meaning doctors will watch and collect information without changing the patients’ regular treatment plans.
Patients will be seen during their normal doctor visits over a period of up to two years. There are no extra visits needed just for the study. Information will be gathered with regular check-ups at about 6, 12, 18, and 24 months. The study lasts about 5 years in total, including 2 years for recruiting patients and 2 years for follow-ups.
- Opicapone treatment is not started because of this study; it's part of the usual care.
- Regular clinical visits will be used to collect the study data.
- No extra visits beyond normal care are required.
