Phase 2
Study Overview: This research is testing a new drug called AR1005 to see if it can help people with Lewy body disease, a condition that affects memory and thinking. The study will include 60 people, all over 60 years old, who have memory problems due to this disease. Procedure: Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either AR1005 or a placebo, which is a harmless pill. All participants will continue their usual treatment with a drug called rivastigmine for 20 weeks. The researchers will check if AR1005 helps improve memory, behavior, and movement. Eligibility: To join, participants must understand and agree to the study, have certain memory test scores, and show specific signs of Lewy body disease. They also need to have a caregiver and be able to walk or move with help. People with certain other health conditions, allergies to the study drug, or those already on similar medications cannot participate.
  • The study lasts for 20 weeks.
  • Participants will need to take medication and attend appointments.
  • Risks include potential side effects of the study drug.
Please consult with your doctor to see if this study is right for you.
