Phase 2

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a brain disorder that affects movement, causing symptoms like shaking and stiffness. It happens because some brain cells, which make a chemical called dopamine, stop working properly. Silymarin is a substance from milk thistle plants, known for being an antioxidant, which helps protect against damage in the body. This study will see if Silymarin can help protect the brain in people with PD.

  • Duration: Participants will be involved in the study for a specific period which is not specified here.
  • Eligibility: Must be between 45-65 years old and have Parkinson's disease.
  • Exclusion: Cannot join if you have severe health issues like advanced liver disease or are pregnant.

This study is for both men and women, and you must be already taking certain treatments for PD. If you have any allergies to Silymarin or if you are too sick, you might not be able to join. It's important to talk to your doctor about whether this study is a good fit for you. Remember, safety first!
