Phase 3

This study looks at how well and safe synbiotics work for people with Parkinson's disease. Synbiotics are a mix of probiotics, like Lactobacillus acidophilus, and prebiotics, which help good bacteria grow. Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that affects movement. It often involves dopamine, a chemical in the brain that helps control movement.

To join the study, you must be 45-65 years old, have Parkinson's disease, and be receiving dopamine therapy. You cannot join if you've used antibiotics recently, have allergies to probiotics, or if you smoke. You also cannot participate if you have certain health conditions like depression, psychosis, or if you're taking specific medications.

  • This study may include compensation for participation.
  • There could be several study visits for check-ups and assessments.
  • Participation involves taking a synbiotic along with your regular treatment.
