This study tests the safety and effectiveness of NouvNeu001, a special cell injection, for people with Parkinson's disease. The trial uses a technique called stereotactic neurosurgery to place the cells in specific brain areas (putamen/striatum). Participants will need to take drugs called immunosuppressants for about 24 to 36 weeks to prevent their body from rejecting the cells.
Eligibility: People aged 50-75 with Parkinson's diagnosis from 4 to 20 years ago can join if they are fit for surgery and have certain test scores. They should not have other major health issues or have had certain previous surgeries.
- Duration: The study lasts at least 24 weeks.
- Medical Visits: You will need to go for regular check-ups and imaging tests like MRI and PET scans.
- Risks: Possible risks include surgery complications and side effects from immunosuppressants.
Consider if the time commitment, medical visits, and potential risks are suitable for you before participating. For more information, discuss with your doctor or the study team.
