This study investigates stage IIIC or IV melanoma and metastatic solid tumors. The purpose of this study is to understand how gene-modified immune cells, specifically IL13Ralpha2 CAR T cells, interact with these conditions.
The study evaluates the safety of these modified immune cells and their ability to remain in the body and target cancer cells. The focus is on assessing the safety and effectiveness of this treatment approach.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 to 74 with stage IIIC or IV melanoma or other metastatic solid tumors may qualify if tumors express IL13Ralpha2 and specific health criteria are met.
- Study details: Participants will receive modified immune cells called IL13Ralpha2 CAR T cells. Some may also receive a placebo, an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine.
