Phase N/A

This study investigates the use of an electronic decision aid tool for individuals with ovarian or pancreatic cancer. The purpose of this study is to compare this tool with traditional genetic counselor sessions for multi-gene panel testing.

The focus of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the electronic decision aid tool. It looks at how this tool might help people make informed decisions about genetic testing.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 or older who are being seen at Massachusetts General Hospital or Boston Medical Center with a diagnosis of ovarian or pancreatic cancer can participate. Key eligibility factors include not having undergone previous germline genetic testing and being able to provide informed consent.
  • Study details: Participants will either attend a session with a genetic counselor or use the electronic decision aid tool. They will complete surveys to assess their knowledge and decision-making processes.
