This study investigates immunoparalysis in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy. It focuses on understanding the relationship between the immune response and severe pancreatic complications after surgery.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the expression of mHLA-DR, a biomarker, can be used to detect severe pancreatic complications early after surgery.
- Who can participate: Adults undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy for a tumor of the pancreatic head may participate. Participants must be 18 years or older and not have any infectious syndrome or be under immunosuppressive conditions other than cancer.
- Study details: This study seeks to determine if the biomarker mHLA-DR can predict severe complications. An inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine will not be used.
