PET Imaging of Solid Tumors by a Novel Tracer, 68Ga-FAPI

Evaluating PET Imaging for Solid Tumors Using an Investigational Tracer

Recruiting
19 years and older
All
Phase 1

This study investigates the diagnostic accuracy of a new PET/CT imaging technique for cancers in the pancreas, stomach, bile ducts, and ovaries. The purpose of this study is to explore how well this method can identify these cancers in their primary stages.

The focus is on evaluating the effectiveness of a novel radiotracer, FAPI, in detecting tumors with high stromal content. This study evaluates whether this imaging approach can enhance the detection of malignancies in these specific types of cancer.

  • Who can participate: Adults scheduled for surgery to remove pancreatic, biliary, or gastric lesions, or early-stage epithelial ovarian cancer may participate. Participants must be over 18 years old and have signed informed consent.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo PET/CT imaging using the investigational tracer FAPI. The study will assess how accurately this method can diagnose cancer. A placebo is not involved in this study.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?
