This study investigates the use of hyperpolarized carbon-13 pyruvate MRI in patients with pancreatic ductal carcinoma. The purpose of this study is to see if this investigational scan can help in assessing how well the treatment is working for the cancer.
The focus of the study is on evaluating how the investigational scan measures the changes in the tumor's metabolism. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the scan in predicting how the tumors respond to treatment.
- Who can participate: Participants must be 18 years or older and have pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. They should have locally advanced or metastatic disease with at least one target lesion in the abdomen measuring 1 cm or more. They must also have an ECOG Performance Status of 0, 1, or 2.
- Study details: Participants will receive an investigational scan called hyperpolarized carbon-13 pyruvate MRI.
