Investigating Complications After Pancreatic Surgery

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase N/A

This study investigates the rate of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) following distal pancreatectomy. The purpose of this study is to understand how often these fistulas occur when using a specific surgical tool.

The study evaluates the effectiveness and safety of the surgical tool in reducing complications such as pancreatic fistulas. It looks at various outcomes to gather information on how well the tool works.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 years or older who can understand the study and provide consent are eligible. Participants must be scheduled for a distal pancreatectomy, with or without additional procedures.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo a distal pancreatectomy and be monitored for pancreatic fistulas and other outcomes. A placebo is not used in this study.
