The purpose of this study is to investigate congenital hyperinsulinism and insulinoma. This study investigates whether a new investigational drug called Fluorodopa F 18, when used with a PET scan, can find the focal lesion in the pancreas to help guide surgical treatment.
This study evaluates how effectively Fluorodopa F 18 PET scans can visualize the pancreas and identify focal lesions. It focuses on the accuracy and safety of this imaging method in comparison to other standard imaging techniques.
- Who can participate: Participants include patients with congenital hyperinsulinism who are under endocrinological care and have not responded to standard medical therapy. Patients with insulinoma based on clinical evaluation are also eligible.
- Study details: Participants will undergo a PET scan using an investigational medication to help locate pancreatic lesions.
