MRE for Diagnosis of Pancreatic Masses

Research Study on Pancreatic Masses Using MR Elastography

Recruiting
18-80 years
All
Phase N/A

This study investigates pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The purpose is to explore imaging biomarkers that can predict the prognosis of this condition.

The study evaluates the use of high order three-dimensional MR elastography (3D-MRE) to measure the stiffness of pancreatic lesions. It examines how this technique may help in understanding the biological characteristics of tumors.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma confirmed by biopsy can participate. Participants must have no history of other cancers and meet specific post-surgery health criteria.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo 3D-MRE imaging to measure the stiffness of pancreatic lesions. The study does not involve any treatment but focuses on imaging and analysis.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.
