Mesothelin/GPC3/GUCY2C-CAR-T Cells Against Cancers

Research Study of Mesothelin-CAR-T Cell Immunotherapy for Cancers

Recruiting

Phase 1

This study investigates Mesothelin-CAR-T cell immunotherapy for cancers. Mesothelin is a protein that some cancer cells express, and this study looks into using special cells called CAR-T cells to target it.

The study focuses on evaluating the safety, tolerance, and early effectiveness of these CAR-T cells in treating cancers. It is important to understand how well these cells work and how safe they are for patients.

  • Who can participate: Adults with advanced cancers that express Mesothelin protein can participate. Participants must have available autologous transduced T cells with greater than or equal to 20% expression of Mesothelin-CAR, a life expectancy greater than 12 weeks, and good organ function.
  • Study details: Participants will receive CAR-T cell therapy, where their own T cells are modified to target Mesothelin on cancer cells. Some may also receive antibodies to enhance the treatment. An inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine, called a placebo, will not be used in this study.

Learn more about clinical trials

What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a study designed to test specific interventions or treatments' effectiveness and safety, paving the way for new, innovative healthcare solutions.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?

Clinical trials follow strict ethical guidelines and protocols to safeguard participants' health. They are closely monitored and safety reviewed regularly.
