The purpose of this study is to investigate pancreatic cancer and periampullary cancer. This study compares neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery to upfront surgery for patients with these conditions.
This study evaluates the potential benefits of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in improving overall survival and enhancing surgical outcomes. It examines the effectiveness of pre-surgery chemotherapy in managing undetected metastatic disease and achieving better resection margins.
- Who can participate: Adults with confirmed pancreatic head cancer or periampullary carcinoma, who have resectable disease and meet specific health criteria, may participate.
- Study details: Participants will either receive chemotherapy before surgery or undergo surgery first.
