Investigating Software for Pancreatic Cancer Screening

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase N/A

This study investigates the use of software called "Lipidica 1.0" in screening for pancreatic cancer. The focus is on individuals who are at a higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer due to factors like family history or specific genetic mutations.

The study evaluates whether the software can accurately differentiate between those with pancreatic cancer and those who are at higher risk but do not have the disease. It looks at the safety and effectiveness of using lipidomic data to aid in early detection.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older at high risk for pancreatic cancer due to family history or genetic mutations can participate. Participants must provide informed consent and meet specific age criteria based on their risk factors.
  • Study details: Participants will visit the study site for blood sampling and medical imaging. Some participants may need to attend an additional visit based on their initial results. A placebo will not be used in this study.
  • Study visits: The study requires 2 visits.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.
