The purpose of this study is to investigate delayed gastric emptying after pancreatic surgery. This condition can affect a patient's recovery and delay further treatments.
This study focuses on evaluating the factors that may influence delayed gastric emptying, such as surgical methods and the placement of feeding tubes. The goal is to understand the risk factors and improve management strategies for patients.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 20 years or older who are scheduled to undergo pancreatic surgery may participate. Key exclusions include those with other active malignancies, minors, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with psychiatric disorders.
- Study details: Participants will have their medical records reviewed, including blood tests and imaging exams, to assess the impact of different surgical factors. Some may receive a placebo, which is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine.
