MEM-288 Oncolytic Virus Alone and in Combination With Standard of Care Therapy in Advanced Solid Tumors

The Purpose of This Study is to Evaluate MEM-288 for Advanced Solid Tumors

Phase 1

This study investigates the use of MEM-288 in patients with advanced solid tumors. MEM-288 is a conditionally replicative oncolytic adenovirus vector designed to selectively replicate in cancer cells, causing cell lysis and stimulating an anti-tumor immune response.

The study evaluates the safety, tolerability, and potential effectiveness of MEM-288 both as a standalone treatment and in combination with standard therapies. It looks at how MEM-288 might work with other treatments to improve immune responses against tumors.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with advanced solid tumors, including NSCLC, cSCC, and other cancers, may participate. Participants must have progressed following specific previous therapies and have a tumor lesion accessible for injection.
  • Study details: Participants will receive MEM-288 through injections directly into the tumor. Some may also receive standard care treatments like nivolumab or docetaxel, which are used to enhance immune system activity against cancer. A placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine.

Learn more about clinical trials

What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a study designed to test specific interventions or treatments' effectiveness and safety, paving the way for new, innovative healthcare solutions.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?

Clinical trials follow strict ethical guidelines and protocols to safeguard participants' health. They are closely monitored and safety reviewed regularly.
