Phase N/A

This study investigates the impact of mesopancreatic excision on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The purpose of this study is to examine how this surgical technique affects local disease control and overall survival in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy.

The study evaluates the effectiveness of mesopancreatic excision in improving surgical outcomes like R0 resection rates and reducing recurrence. It also considers the safety and potential benefits of this technique for patients with resectable disease.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma are eligible. Participants must have adequate organ function and a performance status of 0-2.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo a surgical procedure called mesopancreatic excision. This involves the removal of tissue around major blood vessels near the pancreas.
  • Study timelines and visits: The study will last 2 years. The study requires 6 visits.
