This study investigates the use of nanoparticles in treating centrally located lung tumors and pancreatic cancer. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of using a gadolinium-based nanoparticle, alongside MR-guided radiation therapy, for these conditions.
The study focuses on understanding how the combination of nanoparticles and radiation therapy works in treating these conditions. It evaluates whether the nanoparticles can make the tumors more sensitive to radiation, potentially improving treatment outcomes.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 years or older with centrally located lung tumors or pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Participants must have measurable disease and meet specific health criteria, including normal organ and marrow function.
- Study details: Participants will receive MR-guided radiation therapy combined with a gadolinium-based nanoparticle. A placebo is not used in this study. The study involves treatment over 5 days, followed by a year of monitoring.
- Study timelines and visits: The study will last 1 year. The study requires 5 visits.
