A Study of Radiation Therapy to Treat Solid Tumor Cancer That Has Spread to Soft Tissue

Studying Ways to Use Radiation for Advanced Tumors

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase N/A

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of lattice radiation therapy (LRT) in treating solid tumors that have spread to soft tissue. This study focuses on solid tumors, a type of cancer that forms in the body's tissues.

This study evaluates how different radiation therapy techniques, such as LRT and standard stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), affect the body's immune response. Specifically, it looks at how these techniques impact the number of immune cells that can attack and kill tumor cells.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with advanced solid tumors that require palliative radiation therapy may participate.
  • Study details: Participants will receive either LRT or SBRT as part of their treatment. The study will compare these techniques to see which is more effective. A placebo is not used in this study.
