Development of New Personalised 3D Preclinical Models of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours

Research Study on 3D Models for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase N/A

This study investigates pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The purpose is to create personalized 3D preclinical models from patients' surgical specimens.

The study evaluates the potential of these models to study disease mechanisms and test drugs. It focuses on replicating the tumor's complex environment to improve understanding and treatment.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older who are undergoing pancreatic surgery for non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors can participate. Participants must provide informed consent.
  • Study details: Participants will provide surgical specimens, which will be used to create personalized 3D models. These models help study the disease and test treatments. An inactive substance called a placebo is not involved in this study.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?
