This study investigates pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. It uses endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy (EUS-FNB) to explore the microbiome within the tumor.
The study evaluates how well EUS-FNB can detect the microbiome in these tumors. It looks at the potential link between specific microbes or metabolites and patient prognosis or response to treatment.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 to 80 years with suspected pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma based on imaging tests may participate. They must not have received any chemotherapy and must agree to sign an informed consent form.
- Study details: Participants will undergo a routine EUS-FNB procedure. Researchers will use leftover tissue for microbiome analysis. A placebo is not used in this study.
