Investigating Pancreatic Cancer with Investigational FAPI-PET Imaging

Recruiting
18-85 years
All
Phase 2/3

This study investigates pancreatic cancer. It focuses on using a new PET tracer called fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) for imaging.

The study evaluates the effectiveness of 18F-FAPI-74 PET/CT in diagnosing pancreatic cancer, specifically looking at its ability to detect local lymph node and distant metastasis.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 to 85 with suspected primary or recurrent pancreatic cancer can join. Participants must have a WHO performance score of 0-2 and be able to provide informed consent.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo PET/CT scans using the 18F-FAPI-74 tracer. The study will assess the tracer's ability to identify cancer spread.
  • Study timelines: The study will last from 2024 to 2026.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?

Clinical trials follow strict ethical guidelines and protocols to safeguard participants' health. They are closely monitored and safety reviewed regularly.
