Intravital Microscopy in Human Solid Tumors

Investigating Tumor-Associated Vasculature in Solid Tumors Using a Special Imaging Technique

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase N/A

This study investigates the tumor-associated vasculature in patients with solid tumors. The purpose of this study is to use intravital microscopy to visualize the blood vessels in real-time.

The study focuses on evaluating the feasibility of using intravital microscopy during surgical procedures. It also looks at comparing the tumor-associated vessels with normal tissues and correlating these observations with tumor grade and patient survival.

  • Who can participate: Adults 18 years or older with measurable solid tumors requiring surgical resection can participate. Participants must have an ECOG performance status of 2 or less and be able to provide informed consent.
  • Study details: Participants will receive an intravenous injection of fluorescein and undergo a special imaging technique to observe tumor vessels. A placebo is not used in this study.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?
