This study investigates the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer. The purpose of this study is to evaluate high dose short course radiotherapy using particle therapy with proton or carbon ions.
The study focuses on assessing the effectiveness and safety of this radiotherapy method when combined with standard systemic treatments. It evaluates how these treatments work in real-world scenarios.
- Who can participate: Adults over 18 with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery can join. They must have a Karnofsky index of 70 or higher and no cancer spread.
- Study details: Participants will receive radiotherapy using particle therapy. The study will explore how this treatment works alongside standard systemic therapies. A placebo is not used in this study.
