Extending Outcomes for Pancreas Cancer Patients With Nominal Oligometastatic Disease (EXPAND): A Randomized Phase III Trial

Investigating the Impact of Multidisciplinary Treatment on Oligometastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Recruiting
18 years and older
All
Phase 3

This study investigates oligometastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. It looks at how using MDT (multidisciplinary treatment) affects patients with this condition.

The study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of MDT in treating oligometastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. It also considers how MDT might affect quality of life and the time it takes for new lesions to form.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with confirmed pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and a performance status of 2 or less are eligible. Participants must be candidates for MDT and have between one and five distant metastatic lesions.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo multidisciplinary treatment (MDT), which may include treatments like radiation therapy or surgery. Some participants may receive a placebo, an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine.
