This study investigates the use of preoperative stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with resectable pancreatic cancer. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of adding SBRT before surgery to potentially improve survival rates. This is important as current standard treatments include surgical resection, and this study explores whether SBRT can enhance outcomes.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 20 years or older with resectable pancreatic cancer can participate. Participants must have a histological diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 or 1, and no history of abdominal radiation or uncontrolled conditions.
- Study details: Participants will receive preoperative stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to assess its effectiveness. They will undergo regular assessments to monitor treatment response and side effects. A placebo is not used in this study.
