This study investigates intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) of the pancreas. The purpose of this study is to explore ways to better identify patients who may have high-grade dysplasia or invasive carcinoma, which are more severe forms of IPMN.
The study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of using biological and imaging biomarkers to distinguish between low-risk and high-risk IPMN cases. By examining these biomarkers, researchers hope to improve patient selection for surgery, potentially reducing unnecessary treatments.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 years or older with histologically proven IPMN, or those with an indication for surgery due to suspected IPMN, may participate if they have a Charlson comorbidity index of less than 7.
- Study details: Participants will undergo tests to identify specific biomarkers in their blood and imaging results.
