Phase N/A

This study investigates laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy, a procedure used to treat pancreatic head cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, duodenal cancer, and ampullary tumors. These conditions are treated with a surgical technique that allows for minimally invasive access to the pancreas and surrounding areas.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy. Researchers are examining surgical and oncological outcomes to determine if this minimally invasive approach can be safely performed and if it provides effective results for patients with certain pancreatic and periampullary diseases.

  • Who can participate: Adults with resectable pancreatic head cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, duodenal cancer, or ampullary tumors may participate. Participants must not have metastasis, must have specific radiological findings, and be fit for laparoscopic surgery.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The study will assess the safety and outcomes of this approach.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.
