This study investigates metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. It looks at changes in genes that might affect how the disease responds to treatment. The purpose of this study is to see if examining these genetic characteristics can help in choosing treatments for patients in the future.
The study focuses on evaluating the genetic changes in patients' tumors and blood samples. It will explore how these changes relate to the effectiveness of initial chemotherapy treatments. Researchers will look at the genetic information to understand its potential use in guiding future treatments.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma may participate. Participants must be planned for first-line systemic therapy with specific chemotherapy regimens and have adequate organ function.
- Study details: Participants will provide blood and tumor samples for genetic analysis. Some may receive an investigational medication along with standard chemotherapy. A placebo will be used in some instances.
