This study investigates pain management in pancreatic cancer. The purpose of this study is to explore whether excluding bupivacaine from a procedure called endoscopic ultrasound-guided celiac plexus neurolysis (EUS-CPN) impacts pain relief.
The focus is on understanding if removing bupivacaine improves outcomes in terms of safety and effectiveness. This study evaluates whether bupivacaine affects pain control during and after the procedure.
- Who can participate: Adults with a pancreatic mass or proven pancreatic cancer in specific areas of the pancreas may participate. Candidates should have abdominal or back pain potentially related to the mass and no surgical management options.
- Study details: Participants will undergo a procedure to inject substances around a nerve area to manage pain. The study will compare outcomes with and without bupivacaine, an investigational medication.
