The purpose of this study is to investigate predictive risk factors for postoperative pancreatic fistula in patients who have undergone pancreaticoduodenectomy. This condition is a common complication after the surgery, which is done for tumors in the pancreatic head and nearby areas.
This study evaluates factors that could predict the occurrence of the complication. It focuses on understanding these factors before, during, and after surgery to help make better treatment decisions for patients.
- Who can participate: Adults over 18 years old with certain types of resectable pancreatic or bile duct cancers who meet specific health criteria can participate. They must be fit for surgery and willing to consent to the study.
