**Study Overview:**
This study looks at how *virtual reality* (VR) can help with pain during a *vaso-occlusive crisis* (VOC) in people with *sickle cell disease* (SCD). A VOC is a common problem for people with SCD that causes a lot of pain. In this study, patients will be split into two groups: one will receive the usual pain treatment, and the other will get the same treatment plus a 15-minute VR session. VR uses a special headset to create a 3D world that helps distract from pain.
**Key Points:**
- **Duration & Visits:** The VR session lasts 15 minutes and is added to standard care.
- **Eligibility & Age Range:** Participants must be between 6 and 25 years old and have SCD.
- **Risks & Benefits:** The study aims to reduce pain using a non-drug method, but some may find using VR uncomfortable.
Pain levels and medicine use will be tracked to see how effective VR is. Participants will also complete a short survey to share their experience. This study is only for those who aren't in another pain study and meet all the inclusion criteria.
