RADeep Platform: This is a European project focused on diseases called Rare Anaemia Disorders (RADs). Anemia is when your blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells. These disorders are rare and often serious, making them a challenge to diagnose and treat. This project helps gather information on these diseases to improve care.

Key Points:

  • Open to patients of all ages diagnosed with RADs; requires consent to join.
  • Information gathered will help improve understanding and treatment of RADs.
  • Data shared is protected to ensure privacy.

Eligibility: Anyone diagnosed with a RAD like SCD (sickle cell disease) or THAL (thalassemia) can join, if they agree to share their information. However, people with certain traits of these conditions cannot participate.

This project is part of a larger network and uses data to answer research questions, improve patient care, and develop new treatments. The information collected helps create better guidelines for the treatment and care of patients with these rare conditions.
