This study looks at how a medicine called *pociredir* is processed in the body of people with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Sickle Cell Disease is a condition where red blood cells are shaped like a sickle, which can block blood flow. The study has two parts: one for participants who haven't eaten (Fasted Cohort) and one for those who have had a high-fat breakfast (Fed Cohort). Pharmacokinetics (PK) means studying how the medicine moves and changes in the body.
Participants need to meet certain health criteria and should have no serious illnesses besides SCD. For the Fasted Cohort, participants must not eat for 10 hours before taking the medicine, and for the Fed Cohort, they will eat 30 minutes before. The study lasts about 11 days, with most of the time spent in a clinic for monitoring.
- The study involves up to 12 people in each cohort.
- Participants will stay in the clinic for at least 48 hours post-dose.
- Participants must avoid some medications and have no major surgeries planned.
