Phase N/A
**Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Coeliac Disease: A Series of Studies** This study looks at how coeliac disease (CD), a condition where the body reacts badly to gluten, affects heart health. Gluten is found in foods like bread and pasta. Many people with CD have different body weights and health risks compared to those without CD. This research will find out if a gluten-free diet helps or harms heart health by looking at body composition (fat and muscle levels) and metabolic parameters (how the body processes food). Key points to consider before participating: - **Length**: The study lasts for 1 year with online sessions. - **Eligibility**: Participants must be over 18, have a confirmed CD diagnosis, and follow a gluten-free diet. - **Risks**: Participants with severe kidney disease, liver disease, or heart failure cannot join. This research will help doctors understand how to manage CD better, focusing on heart health and metabolism. Participants will have their body and health markers measured at the start and after following a specific diet plan. This is a chance to contribute to important healthcare insights.
