Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes red, scaly patches on the skin. It is not just a skin problem, but it can affect the entire body due to inflammation. Some people with psoriasis also have stomach issues. This study looks at how diet, particularly a wheat-free diet (WFD), might help ease psoriasis symptoms. Wheat can cause gut problems for some people, leading to inflammation. This study will see if avoiding wheat can help people with psoriasis feel better.
- The study lasts for a specific period and participants will follow a WFD.
- Participants should be between 18 and 65 years old.
- No severe psoriasis or other major health issues to join.
The study aims to explore if cutting out wheat can reduce inflammation and improve the skin condition. Before starting, participants must not have been on psoriasis medication for three months. The study will also check for any reactions when wheat is reintroduced to the diet later.
