This study is for people with extensive stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), a type of lung cancer that has spread widely in the body. The study is comparing two treatment groups. One group will receive four medicines: tarlatamab, durvalumab, carboplatin, and etoposide. The other group will get durvalumab, carboplatin, and etoposide. The main goal is to see which group lives longer.
To join, you must be 18 or older and have a certain type of lung cancer that's been confirmed by doctors. You need to be in good enough health to handle the treatment and expect to live for at least 12 more weeks. There are several conditions that would exclude you from the study, like having other recent cancers, certain brain issues, or specific infections.
- Study Length: The study will require a long-term commitment, but exact duration isn't specified.
- Visits Needed: Participants will need to visit the study site regularly for treatment and monitoring.
- Risks: Possible side effects from treatment, like immune and heart issues.
