Phase N/A

In this research study, doctors are testing a new device called WounDx™ to see if it helps decide when to close a large wound on the arms or legs. A wound is a cut or sore on the skin. Sometimes, these wounds are hard to heal. The WounDx™ device is experimental, which means it’s still being tested and not yet approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). It uses data from a wound to make a report that helps doctors decide the best time to close it. This study is like a test run to see if the device works well in real life and if it should be tested on more patients. The device looks at special chemicals in the wound to predict healing.

  • Participants must be adults aged 18 to 65 with large wounds (at least 75cm²).
  • Participation involves the collection of samples during treatment and creating reports for doctors.
  • People with certain health conditions, like diabetes or pregnancy, cannot join the study.
