Phase 2

This study looks at using a drug called **MDMA** with a type of therapy called **Massed Prolonged Exposure (PE)** to help adults with **Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)**. PTSD is a mental health condition that happens after experiencing a scary or dangerous event. In this research, 95 people will be randomly chosen to get either MDMA or a placebo (a pill that doesn’t have the medicine) during therapy. The study will see if MDMA helps improve PTSD symptoms better than just therapy alone. MDMA is a psychoactive drug, which means it affects the brain and can change mood or feelings.

Participants will have 10 therapy sessions over two weeks. They will take either 100 mg of MDMA or a placebo during the second session. After treatment, their PTSD symptoms will be checked with an interview one month later.

  • Study lasts a few weeks, including 10 therapy sessions.
  • Participants will take either MDMA or a placebo during the second session.
  • Safety and health are important, and participants must meet certain health criteria.
