Phase 2
This study is testing a new pill called **CX11** for people with **Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus**, a condition where the body doesn't use insulin properly. Participants must have been taking a stable dose of **metformin** (a common diabetes medication) for at least 90 days, with or without a type of drug called an **SGLT2 inhibitor**. The study is **double-blind**, meaning neither the participants nor the study staff know who gets the real pill or a **placebo** (a fake pill). It will last for **24 weeks**, with an additional **2-week follow-up** to check for any safety issues. Participants will be randomly placed into one of six groups to receive different doses of CX11 or a placebo. **Key points:** - **Duration:** Total of **26 weeks** (24 weeks treatment + 2 weeks follow-up). - **Randomization:** Participants have an equal chance of getting different doses or a placebo. - **Eligibility:** Adults aged **18 to 75** with stable diabetes medication and specific health criteria. Before joining, ensure you understand the study requirements and your health status fits the eligibility criteria.
