Phase N/A

This study is for teens aged 12-17 with congenital heart disease (CHD), a condition where the heart has problems from birth. It tests the WE BEAT program, which is a 5-week online course teaching skills to handle stress better. Participants will be split into two groups: one will do the WE BEAT program, and the other will receive regular care. After the program, some may get an extra session at 18 weeks to review skills.

Participants will be in the study for about 6 months. They'll complete online surveys and provide hair and saliva samples at different times. Some may choose to give blood and urine samples too. The goal is to see if the program helps improve resilience (the ability to recover from difficulties) and overall quality of life.

  • The study lasts around 6 months, with several check-ins.
  • Participants will be randomly assigned to either the program or usual care.
  • Surveys and biological samples are required at different points during the study.
