Phase 3

This study is designed for people who have finished a previous study on pelacarsen, a drug for heart disease. The new study will check how safe and tolerable the drug is over a long time. Pelacarsen is given as an 80 mg dose once a month to those with heart disease and high levels of a substance called Lp(a), which can increase heart disease risk. Participants need to have completed the initial study while still using the drug without stopping for more than 6 months.

  • Participants must complete the previous study and still be using the drug.
  • They should not have stopped using the drug for more than 6 months in the prior study.
  • Participants should not have any serious health issues or be on another experimental drug.

The study is open-label, meaning both you and the researchers know what treatment you are receiving. If you have any serious health conditions that could risk your safety, you may not be eligible. Always consult with your doctor to ensure this study is right for you.
