Phase 2
This study is testing a new drug called **EXPD-101** for people with **COPD** (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). COPD makes it hard to breathe and often includes a long-lasting cough. In this study, participants will take either the new drug or a *placebo* (a fake pill with no drug in it) once a day for 52 weeks, about one year. The study is in **Phase 2**, meaning it looks at how well the drug works and how safe it is. To join, you must have had COPD for at least one year and be using certain inhaler medications. You should not have had a recent COPD flare-up or other serious lung diseases. You also need to be committed to using effective birth control if you are of childbearing potential. **Key Points:** - The study lasts for 52 weeks (1 year) with daily medication intake. - Participants must have a history of smoking and stable COPD treatment. - You should not join if you've had recent lung infections or are on certain drugs. This study will help understand how effective and safe **EXPD-101** is for treating COPD.
