Pancreatic Insulinoma is a rare tumor in the pancreas that can cause too much insulin to be made, leading to low blood sugar. This study focuses on a new method called Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation (EUS-RFA). This technique uses heat to destroy the tumor cells. Researchers are checking if this method is safe and works well for patients. They will compare it to regular surgery done between 2018 and 2025.
The study involves patients at Sahlgrenska University Hospital who have been diagnosed with pancreatic insulinoma. Participants will have follow-up checks at 3, 6, 12, and 24 months to see how well the treatment worked and if it's safe. These checks include blood tests and imaging, like taking pictures of the inside of the body.
- The study is only for people diagnosed with insulinoma.
- Participants need to agree and understand the study details.
- Severe other illnesses could prevent participation.
