Phase N/A

The study looks at how eating the right foods helps people recovering from a Whipple procedure, which is a surgery for some cancers. The Whipple procedure is a complex surgery to remove parts of the pancreas, bile duct, and small intestine. This research aims to see if a special diet can help people heal faster, have fewer problems after surgery, and stay in the hospital for a shorter time. The study will track things like weight, muscle strength, and important body tests (like liver and kidney functions, blood counts, and sugar levels). Twenty people will join this study for one year, and they will get a special diet plan. Follow-up visits will happen at 2 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months after surgery. They will also look at how the diet helps people who are having chemotherapy. If you are 18 or older and having the Whipple surgery due to certain cancers, you may be able to join this study.

  • Participants: 20 people, age 18+, having Whipple surgery for cancer.
  • Study Duration: 1 year with multiple follow-ups.
  • Diet Plan: Special nutrition to help recovery.
